The Department of Neurosurgery at Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College (BJGMC) and Sassoon General Hospital in Pune is dedicated to providing comprehensive neurosurgical care and advanced training for future neurosurgeons.
The department features a specialized neurosurgery operation theatre equipped with a Carl-Zeiss microscope, a four-bedded neurosurgery intensive care unit, and a dedicated neurosurgery ward.
The department offers a robust residency training program under the guidance of experienced faculty. Residents receive hands-on experience in various neurosurgical procedures, supported by regular academic teaching programs to keep them updated on the latest guidelines and patient management strategies, both pre- and post-operatively.
The department actively participates in local and national conferences, contributing to the advancement of neurosurgical knowledge and practices. Faculty and residents are encouraged to engage in research activities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
